May 1, 2011 - Dame Fashola Bags City People Best First Lady Award

Lagos State First Lady, DAME Abimbola Fashola receives City People Award for Excellence.

The visibly humbled wife of Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) commended the organiser of the event, saying that with the presentation, she would have to give more support to the state government to succeed for another four years.

She said, "I don't know what I have done right to deserve this award. With this honour, it means that people are watching us and we have to do more."

Dame Fashola said that the greatest joy was that she is living to witness all what is happening to Lagos at present. "The state is becoming more beautiful. Development is going on everywhere. I'm happy that we are all living to witness this."

Also with her is Erelu Abiola Dosunmu who bagged the City People Life Time Achievement Award.
