Jan 1, 2010 - First Baby Of The Year 2010 Held At Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital

We give glory to Almighty God for sparing our lives to witness the beginning of 2010. It is not our making but by His grace. May He keep us in good health, prosperity and give us the grace to be among those who will witness the end of the year.

On this happy day, I congratulate our First Baby of the Year who was delivered in the early hours of today here in the General Hospital, Ifako Ijaiye. I also extend the felicitations and best wishes of His Excellency, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN Governor of Lagos State to the lucky mother and family of the First baby of the year as well as other babies delivered in the early hours of today.

We are also using this opportunity to say a big thank you to all doctors, nurses and other members of staff of this hospital for the great work that you are doing. It is my hope that you will sustain the zeal, diligence and high professional standards to ensure that the ongoing reforms in the health sector succeeds.

On behalf of the First baby of the year, I wish to thank the Management of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc for the cash donation and other gift items for the five babies given birth to on this day.

Once again, I welcome the first baby of the year and wish all the patients on admission speedy recovery.
