The story was about Ako and his twin brother Obo who lived in a poor village called Idun. They lost their father at the age of four and had to be brought up by their poor mother who sold second hand clothes to make a living.
Ako, along the line suffered polio meningitis and lost the use of his legs. But he did not loose hope but continued his studies even though he had to be pushed to school in a cart by his brother.
He developed the talent of story telling while in primary school and by stroke of good fortune he became famous by telling stories to the extent that he was invited by the Governor of the state and was later given scholarship which took him to the University.
Within the story was another boy whose mother warned never to go to the forest in the afternoon because spirits come out at such times. But he defied his parents and went and he met some angry spirits who made him blind.
The First Lady, who was accompanied by song maestro, Onyeka Onwuenu, Saxophonist legend, Tee Mac, Lagbaja and Joke Silva, taught the children the virtues of obedience and hard work which were they central themes of the story.
The musicians later performed to the delight of ther children who also presented various dances including choreography to entertain the First Lady.
