Mar 17, 2009 - Commissioning Of RADLAG Water Factory

Today, we are gathered here to witness another milestone in the history of Radio Lagos/Eko FM with the commissioning of RADLAG Water Factory. It is therefore with great pleasure and delight that I join the General Manager, Mrs. Tinu Aina-Badejo, her very resourceful team and well wishers of Radio Lagos/Eko FM to celebrate this event.

Radio Lagos/EKO FM, I believe is one station that every Lagosian is proud of its achievement. It is on record that Radio Lagos/Eko FM is the first to fully broadcast in Yoruba language and the first station to stream live broadcast on internet. These, no doubt, are very impressive achievements which could not have been made possible without the commitment, dedication, sacrifice and high level of professionalism on the part of both the management and staff. I commend you all and also admonish you to continue to work as a team in order to sustain the high reputation of excellence and professionalism which this station is noted for.

I am reliably informed that the establishment of Radlag Water Factory, a new initiative of Lagos State Radio Service is a major strategy adopted to survive the current global economic meltdown. It is indeed a commendable initiative that will go a long way in making the station self sustaining as well as creating job opportunities for the unemployed.

Once again, I congratulate the General Manager, Mrs. Tinu Aina-Badejo, management and staff of the Lagos State Radio Service on the successful take off of this factory which I am informed is equipped with first class machines. It is my hope that the high quality of the equipment and other inputs will also be matched by high quality management to ensure sustainability and maximum return on investment.
