Mar 14, 2009 - 10th Redeemer’s Day

It is a great pleasure and delight for me to join the Chairperson, Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management and Director, Children/Teen Education of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, our mother in Israel, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye and our father in the Lord, Pastor, E. A. Adeboye as well as teachers, pupils and students in the celebration of the 10th Redeemer’s Day. I congratulate our mother for her steadfast commitment and dedication to this annual event which is organised to celebrate the goodness of the Lord upon the pupils and students of CRSM Schools in the arts, sports and academics.

Let me use this opportunity to commend our Daddy and Mummy through whom the vision of CRSM schools was inspired to develop future leaders who will make great positive impact on their generation. I am particularly happy to note that at CRSM Schools, education is seen from the broad view of achieving excellence both in academics and character.

Events and happenings around us and even in other places all over the world have shown that the full benefits of education can only be realised by the society when we give equal attention to inculcating in the young ones the knowledge of God, love for one another and moral values such as honesty, fairness, integrity, decency among others.

These are very essential values which we must continue to celebrate and integrate into our education curricular right from the elementary to the higher school levels.

I salute all the pupils and students for the exceptional performance and skills that you all have displayed from yesterday when the celebration commenced. I encourage you to keep it up and continuously strive to improve on your performance. I have no doubt in my mind that some of you are blessed with abundant talents which if developed and with hard work, commitment and determination on your part, will make you shining stars in the area of sports not only in Nigeria but also in the entire world.

Once again, I congratulate the entire members of CRSM under the able leadership of our Mother, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, teachers, pupils and students on the successful celebration of the 10th Redeemers Day. I pray that next year’s celebration will even be more successful in Jesus Name.

Thank you and God bless you all.

Mrs. Abimbola Fashola
