Nov 23, 2008 - Hosting Of Physically Challenged Children/Launch Of Jesus Ensemble Album
I am pleased to be here this morning to join the Pastor in Charge, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and the RCCG Christ Church family at this event in which the church is hosting physically challenged children and the launch of Jesus ensemble album.
I want to thank you for the support which you have given this group of Nigerians who though are physically challenged have inside them great potentials that can be developed not only for their own benefit but also for the benefit of mankind. As it is often said, there is ability in disability. What the physically challenged needs from us is not our pity but our support and encouragement to enable them rise above their present condition and live a fulfilled life.
We have examples locally and all over the globe where physically challenged men and women are doing amazing things and contributing a great deal to the development of their countries even beyond the capability of those of us that are not in any visible way physically challenged. It would however have been impossible or difficult to have achieve what they have achieved without the understanding, care and support of the society.
While commending RCCG Christ Church for identifying with the dream and aspirations of these children, I want to use this opportunity to call on everyone to render support and assistance to the physically challenged in the society. Their families cannot and should not be left to shoulder the responsibility alone. Let us offer our assistance in our own little ways to promote the spirit of one humanity.
Finally, I congratulate you on the launching of your new album. May the blessings and favours of God continue to abide with you and every one of us as we prepare to enter into another new year.
