I feel greatly delighted and honoured by the invitation of the Proprietress/Managing Director of Elegant Twins School of Cosmetology, our very hardworking, visionary and resourceful mother, Dr. (Mrs.) E. A. Osisanya JP, OON to be part of the 35th graduation ceremony of this prestigious and foremost institution in the hair and beauty industry. I am informed that this event also marks the 55th year of mama in the practise and teaching of hair and beauty culture as well as the 15th Elegant Twins health, hair and beauty fair.
This, indeed is a landmark event and for which I congratulate Dr. (Mrs.) E. A. Osinsanya JP, OON. I also join her in giving praise to almighty God for preserving her life over these years which she has spent in developing the potential of the young ones who have continued to find self fulfilment in the hair and beauty industry. Mama elegant twins is no doubt a role mode and a distinguished Nigerian whose pioneering efforts and contribution to the development of the beauty industry that has created and continue to create a lot of employment opportunities remain a reference point for future generations.
The very important lesson which the success story of elegant twins has demonstrated is that perseverance, sacrifice, courage, vision and sense of purpose are vital pre requisites to success no matter how unrewarding a particular endeavour may appear to be. At this time of great challenges particularly in the socio-economic sphere, there is the need more than ever before, for the young ones to imbibe these attributes which are key success factors in breaking new grounds and creating opportunities.
I felicitate with all the graduating students who have been found worthy of the certificates of this prestigious and respected institution. Today, you have been certified fit both in knowledge and character after years of studies and assessments in the relevant areas of your specialization. Let me however remind you that while your certificate may open doors of opportunities for you, given the high reputation attached to the name it carries, your ultimate success in the profession will be determined by the quality of your performance which will also be determined by the extent to which you are able to apply everything you have been taught in your day to day activities.
It is very important that you have this at the back of your mind because it is only those who go the extra mile to give their best to meet the expectation, of their clients that will occupy leadership position, in the highly competitive market. I wish you every success as you prepare to move on to the next phase in your career.
Finally, let me commend the school management on the choice of the theme for this year’s celebration, “Dangers of Obesity and its Related Diseases” as well as the choice of Dr. Quincy Ayodele, a renowned expert on the subject.
Once again, I congratulate Dr. (Mrs.) E. A. Osinsanya JP, OON and all the hardworking management and staff of Elegant Twins School of Cosmetology on this landmark three in one anniversary celebrations.
