Oct 26, 2008 - Official Installation Of Lion Hon. Lola Akande As President Of Ikeja Peridot Lions Club
I felicitate with the entire members of the Ikeja Peridot Lion Club on this occasion of the official installation of Lion Hon. Lola Akande as President and the launching of her pet project which I am informed is the building and stocking of a Library and Vocational hall.
Hon. Lola Akande is no doubt a woman of great accomplishments particularly in the service of the people. She is a role model and one of the few women that are making us proud by their inspiring and courageous efforts in the political landscape especially in Lagos State.
Given her impressive performance as a progressive politician and leader, I have no doubt in my mind that her tenure as President of Ikeja Peridot Lions Club one of the over a hundred clubs under District 404B would witness great achievements.
The library and vocational hall projects being launched on this occasion and which the new President plans to accomplish during her tenure is very commendable because they will contribute to efforts geared towards addressing the issues of the declining reading culture and poverty alleviation through vocational skill acquisition. I would therefore like to appeal for the support of everyone to ensure that these two very important projects are accomplished before the end of the tenure of Lion Hon. Lola Akande.
Once again, I congratulate the new President and wish her and all the other elected officers a very successful tenure.
