It gives me great pleasure to join the Queen’s College family on this occasion of the 80th Founder’s Day anniversary celebrations.
I congratulate the management, students and proud alumni on this happy occasion. I particularly pay tribute to the visionary Nigerians who championed the cause for the establishment of the college with the objective of promoting girl child education.
Today, there is no gainsaying the fact that the college has lived up to the dream of its founders as clearly shown by the number of its products too numerous to mention, who have distinguished themselves in all areas of human endeavour.
As we celebrate this day, I urge the authorities and the teachers to keep up the good work so that the college will continue to be a centre of excellence and reference point for girl child education in Nigeria.
